Eric Yan
CFP®, Senior Advisor

If any Vista employee exemplifies the unfailing discipline it takes to be a successful investor, it’s Eric. An ultra-marathoner, Eric is well-acquainted with the rigors of staying the course and going the distance even when faced with great adversity — like enduring hypothermia on Mt. St. Helens through wind, rain, and hail.
He may be super competitive, but Eric’s also the first to find humor in situations, frequently joking that he’s only caught one fish in life despite growing up in Anchorage, Alaska. Hardworking and down-to-earth, Eric knew he landed at the right place from his first days at Vista. He relishes helping clients organize their financial lives so they can focus on what matters most to them, whether it’s family, business, philanthropy, or all the above.
Eric worked for several large investment firms before joining the Vista team. He is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. He has also passed the Series 63 exam and earned the Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) designation.
When he’s not working or running 100-mile races, Eric enjoys cooking, biking, listening to podcasts, and experiencing new foods and places.
Something you may not know about Eric: He played guitar in a band once upon a time. He’s also an expert-level Costco bargain shopper.
