To our Community,
Like many of you, we are sad and angry at the injustice impacting our country.
The events that have transpired since the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery have shone a light, yet again, on the challenges our Black community faces.
In this moment, I feel a real sense of responsibility. As a company, Vista was built on one mission: to build happier and more prosperous lives—for our clients, for our employees, and for our community.
We know we’ve fallen short of our goal. When members of our community don’t feel safe, supported, or heard, we haven’t done our job.
We must do better.
To end racism, intolerance, and injustice, we must continue to challenge ourselves, and others, to be better listeners, better partners, and better advocates for one another.
One step we’ve taken in the last year is to launch a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative. Under this initiative, we are committed to:
- Creating a more inclusive culture where all individuals feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued.
- Setting specific, measurable goals around racial and gender diversity in our employee base and in our leadership and ownership ranks.
- Building a broader and more diverse network of professional partners.
- Supporting local organizations that are working to dismantle systemic racism in our community.
As the company you have entrusted with such an important responsibility, I want you to know we are truly and meaningfully committed to making our organization and our community more diverse, inclusive, and equitable.
This is an ongoing conversation, and we welcome your voice.
